Comment:
My husband Mark and I will be celebrating our 19th anniversary this July. We have four children, two girls and two boys, ages 16, 14, and the twins will be turning 11 this March. We are still on the farm but 7 years ago I started a homebased business making homemade meat pies. Now working on moving the business from the house to it's own kitchen and store front. Where have the 40 years gone, Mark and I celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary this July, Mark still working hard on the farm and I have a new job and career. Life is getting a little easier. Kids are all grown up, our youngest daugther and her husband, he is with the Navy, now live in Halifax Nova Scotia where he is from. The two boys are still at home, to expensive to move out, and the oldest daughter lives in the same yard with her husband. All have jobs thankfully and are doing well. |

Have any favorite memories to share?: Too far back to remember, getting old I guess | |
What have you been doing since 1977?:
Raising my four kids and keeping busy with them and the Navy League and Royal Canadain Sea Cadet Corps they belong to. The kids are all grown up now and for the past 9 years had to go back to work full time. Was a cab driver in Okotoks for five years then a dietary aid for a year and an industrial seamstress before being laid off due to the downturn in the economy. Decided to go back to school and upgrade my computer skills so get an office Job. Went to the Academy of Learning in High River and a few months after finishing school was hired on as a Learning Coach. Been here a year and half now and like it. |

What have you been doing since 1977?: Even though I did not graduate from LBHS, moved back from Crowsnest Pass (semester system) so went to HWWHS. I have reconnected with a few people on FB from LBHS. Been doing a lot of different things, went back to school (Travel & Tourism), never went into it. Took another course in Business Communications after that, got into Administration work. After doing that until 2005, been doing this that and everything else out of the office atmosphere. I am more of an outdoors person and love animals (they are not as judgmental as people). |

What have you been doing since 1977?: I have been employed with the Calgary Health Region since June 1979. I am currently the Manager of the Admitting Department and love my job! I graduated from the University of Saskatchewn - Health Care Administration the summer of 1992 after successfully completing my studies by correspondence. I provide in home support to a lovely young lady who is Developmentally Delayed. We met through Big Sisters (formerly Aunts at Large) when she was six, and through circumstances, I became her foster mom when she was 9 years and now she is 23 years old and we could all learn lessons on life from her. She participates in Special Olympics, works part time and is a college graduate herself! |
